Chaveiro 365 provides locksmith and metalwork services across the Algarve: door and vehicle opening, lock replacement and repair, security reinforcement and safe opening.
Prices and quotes
- An estimate is given on the phone, based on the customer's description. The final price is confirmed by the technician on site, before any work begins.
- Prices shown on this site are starting figures for work in normal conditions.
- If, on arrival, the situation is materially different from what was described, we explain the difference and give the new figure before starting. You are free to decline.
- Night, weekend and public-holiday work may carry a supplement, always quoted before we travel.
Nothing starts without an agreed price
We start no work until the figure has been given to you and accepted on site. If the invoice does not match what was agreed, do not pay it before speaking to us.
Identity checks
Before opening any door, vehicle or safe we require photo identification and proof of your right of access — a tenancy agreement, a bill in your name, written authorisation from the owner, or the owner on the phone. We reserve the right to decline the job if that proof is not produced, and no compensation is due in that case.
Guarantees
- Parts we fit carry a 2-year guarantee against manufacturing or installation defects.
- Labour carries a 6-month guarantee on the work performed.
- The guarantee does not cover misuse, vandalism, a later break-in attempt, or third-party work carried out on top of ours.
- We aim to open without damage and succeed in the overwhelming majority of cases, but on high-security locks a destructive method can be technically unavoidable. Where that applies, it is always explained and quoted beforehand.
Payment
Payment is due on completion. A full invoice with VAT itemised is always issued, including your tax number on request. Businesses and rental managers can agree monthly invoicing terms.
Cancellation
You may cancel at no cost as long as the technician has not set off. If you cancel once the technician is already on site, the call-out fee quoted during the call may be charged.
Liability
We carry public liability insurance. We are answerable for damage resulting directly from our own error in carrying out the work. We are not answerable for pre-existing defects in the door, lock or property, nor for damage arising from a technically necessary destructive method that was explained to and accepted by you beforehand.
Complaints and dispute resolution
If something goes wrong, the first step is to talk to us — most situations are resolved in one call. Portugal's electronic complaints book is also available to you at www.livroreclamacoes.pt.
For consumer disputes you may refer the matter to a territorially competent Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) body under Portuguese Law 144/2015 of 8 September. In the Algarve the competent body is CIMAAL, the Algarve consumer arbitration centre.
Governing law
These terms are governed by Portuguese law. The competent court is that of the consumer's domicile, unless the law provides otherwise.
